Abbey's Life

Created by Allison 11 years ago
Abbey was the born the youngest and only girl of six children born to Robert and Alexis Kain. She had five brothers to watch over her. At a very early age they nicknamed her Peaches. She was bright and intelligent, and was an excellent student in high school and college. She graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1998 with a Masters degree. Abbey was always kind and generous. Giving and helping others without a thought for herself. She lost her mother at a very young age due to a drunk driver. She lost an older brother Brandon in a car accident in 2004. Her father was diagnosed with leukemia in April 2009. Abbey was tested as a match to donate bone marrow. Donating twice in hopes of saving her father, her sacrifice failed, as her father passed in that same year. She loved animals and had a Jack Russel Terrier named Jinks for 12 years before he passed and a new puppy named Max, that I now care for. She loved running and the beach. We spent many summers at Daytona, Panama City, Fort Lauderdale and Tybee Island. She had a great love of music. Music was always playing some where when Abbey was around. In August of 2012 she was diagnosed with Leukemia. The last t few months were hard for her. She was very brave although she never thought so. I helped care for her and I watch her face pain, loss and the unknown. To her family she was happiness, dependable to a fault, and if she loved you it was unconditional. Words can't say how much we will miss her. A beautiful spirit is free now. Abbey is predeceased by mother, Alexis Lynn Kain, father Robert Van Kain, and brother Brandon Thomas Kain. We love you Abbey
